Hi HFI Friends!
I have not been on this board in ages! Glad to see that most of you all are still here.
I have actually moved far far away and am now living in Saudi Arabia. We're having a global adventure! No problems lately with my HFI. I've been able to find foods here that work with my diet.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi since I haven't visited the boards in forever.
Best, Julie

Hi Julie, yes long time no hear, hoped it was because life was just busy with family and going well. Wow, Saudi Arabia....... How are you finding the food there?
Lovely to hear from you, fill us in when you have time.

Hi Charlie,
The food here is quite good. Somewhat Mediterranean in style. Lots of grilled meats, plain rice and plain yogurts, which works well. We live on a compound and tend to eat the same foods on a regular basis, which makes things easier for me. We also have a very good international grocery store and can find a lot of familiar things. The one thing I really miss is mayonnaise w/out sugar (Duke's is what we had in NC). A big win is this yogurt/milk drink called Laban. It is sooooo yummy. It's almost like a drinkable Greek yogurt.
Breads are tricky. I don't think they have a bread here w/out sugar, except maybe their pita type of bread. So, that is probably the hardest thing.

Great to see you again! It's good to hear the food isn't an issue in another country. How long are you going to be there?
