Did you guys know we're listed as a support group on the Boston University website? www.bu.edu/aldolase/HFI/education/index.htmlI have no idea when this was added (and I'm too lazy right now to see if the wayback machine archived this page).

Okay, maybe I'm just oblivious. It appears it has been listed on Dr. Tolan's site at least since Mar 2006--which is a month before I signed up for an account at this forum.
However, a new addition to his site is the HFI Stories, which were added in May 2013. I mentioned the stories/interviews that I have been gathering in an email to him. I'll let you guys know if he responds.

I have a feeling that is how I came across this board all those years ago. There was another one too but that had died so I never got a response on it.

If he does respond, feel free to pass along Regina's story. That would be much easier for me than to write it again. Of course I guess I can just copy it from your site if it has to come from me. ;-)

Will do, Tammy! I think he might prefer official consent from you, though.
EDIT: Presuming he gets back to me.
Double-EDIT: Just looked at the analytics for the blog. Somebody from the Boston Metro Area was visiting the blog right about the date I sent my email. I might just be grasping at straws, though. I'm a pretty desperate kind of person.

OMG. Dr. Tolan wrote me!!!! I'm frozen with fear and am going to have to work up a lot of motivation to respond to him sometime today. He said he loves my blog--who doesn't, right? --and wants to link to it on his website. It sounds like he doesn't have a lot of time to dedicate to the site, so I'm glad this forum is active and able to help people. He didn't ask for permission for use of the stories on my blog. I guess he's just going to link to it and share the information that way?

I always pictured Dr. Tolan as a little frail old mad scientist-type. I finally looked up his picture and the only thing he has in common with my imagination is the white hair. I think I said, "Oh! He's attractive!" I was seriously geeking out when I saw his email last night. My brain kept making a high-pitched "EEEEEE!!" noise whenever I thought about it.
