Went grocery shopping last week and actually came home with some pretty bright colored food-stuff, so I decided to take a photo. I ended up spending about $95. The worst part was one of my planned meals was straight-up awful. I swear I will never ever add mayo to a casserole recipe ever again. Mayo, Bacon, and Ranch dressing are all things that should be used sparingly, if at all. They all have very strong flavors and will overpower any dish that isn't prepared to fight back.

Ummmmm. No don't think mayo and casserole quite go in the same sentence. Almonds?

Celery becomes very sweet when cooked. use celery seeds instead only use a TINY amount they are very powerful! Many things there I would not eat. Spring onions (scallions)I would only use now a tiny amount of the green tops shredded and used as a garnish only.. never cooked unless stir fried nearly brown. Ready made Pesto always gives me real bad guts so I make my own and have no problems with it, THink they use Soy oil in the UK Almonds are a NO no for me I might just use a tiny amount of flaked almonds crushed on the top of puff pastry if I'm making something like a savoury "pudding" I will stick them to the top with milk / egg wash and they toast in the heat adding a nice strong nutty flavour but very little fructose because I use only tiny amounts. I do not every use any pre prepared dressings all UK "Ranch style" dressings are horribly sweet flavoured..

Very true! Although I could make a seriously tasty meal out of the mushrooms beef and cheese with the pasta bows. Pan fry some of the green onion tops add the beef and brown, add mushrooms and herbs add beef stock (home made ) or hot water to make the stock in which the beef and mushrooms cook. When the beef is becoming tender I would cook the pasta Bows and melt the soft cheese with some milk in a microwave. Uncover the beef stew sprinkle with just enough cheese to cover and place under a grill to toast the cheese. Drain the pasta pour over the cheese sauce and serve! YUMMY!
