OK not certain I should post this here but been sent a list currently being issued by the UK's leading hospital into Sugar related issues.
The List is simply dangerous
It puts Swede and Turnip in the Occasional column and sugar snap peas (mange tout) in the everyday column!
I have attached my updated version that I have sent back to the HFI lady who received the list in the first place.
I am Yet to calm down enough to speak to the hospital and point out their multiple errors in the list.
That is something I have to do soon but need to be calmer otherwise it will come over like I have tourette's syndrome!
Put bluntly they are blithering idiots issuing this list and it frightens me that they can understand the condition so very poorly.amended Addenbrooks food list..doc (76 KB)
IF anyone has other food lists issued by different hospitals I would love to see them as well .. to be honest I do not think this list is much worse than the one issued by Dr Tolan that I saw about 4 years ago.
Since I realised "Tolerated" is not the same as "Safe" I have gone safe in my diet. mostly eating Milk, meat, fish, rice and pasta with Mushrooms spices and herbs being the only regular vegetable addition. I have reduced to once a week things like Root Ginger and Garlic.
So I can happily report that I have NEVER felt better in my life! I am stronger fitter and have far less gut problems than I can remember ever having before not to mention far more stable blood sugar levels.
I'm waking up raring to go and get into the day.. or afternoon as it usually is, I work permanent night shift 5 nights 10.5 hours a shift minimum, I have not felt like that since I was in my early 20's
MY supplements have remained the same Vitamin C + Zinc slow release and Vitamin D3 daily, along with the Colofac I need to calm down my damaged gut. Some odd days dropping that off and not suffering much side effects when I do.
