Hi Everyone! I have been trying to take different types of vitamin c. (I've had problems with vitamins making me sick my whole life - especially multivitamins and liquid vitamins). I am wondering if anyone here knows specifically which brands/types of vitamin c are fructose free. I just wrote to CountryLife inquiring about whether they know how much fructose is in their different types of vitamin c. Unfortunately, I also have to be gluten free. (I have HLA-DQ8) Also, I would appreciate general advice on vitamins. Which multivitamin might be okay for someone with HFI? Thank you!!! Emily

Nature Made Vitamin C should be okay: www.naturemade.com/products/c-vitamins/vitamin-c-1000-mgMost of Nature Made products should be okay (unless otherwise noted on the label). They tend to keep things free of additives. I really like their Liquid Soft Gels www.naturemade.com/products/c-vitamins/vitamin-c-lsg-500-mg I tend to get nauseated after eating a multivitamin, but the softgels don't cause nausea. The nausea has nothing to do with HFI (thankfully) as a lot of people I know have switched to eating gummies instead of those multivitamin horse pills. Nature Made Liquid Soft Gels are the only multivitamin to have a gel-format that is not flavored.

Thank you for the advice! I have been mostly okay with Nature Made vitamins in the past.
I wound up getting Nature's Bounty C-1000mg 100 Caplets. It says it is ascorbic acid and doesn't contain sugar. No mention of rose hips. I think the rose hips were a problem in the previous supplements which gave me headaches. (Both types gave me a headache and both types had rose hips).
There must be some fructose in rose hips. Have you reacted to it before?

I didn't even know "rose hips" were an ingredient. I always thought they referred to the shape of the pill.
