For those that can't turn down that Cola feeling........ Just found a new flavouring bottle in Sainsbury (their own brand) and it is Cola flavour. I don't like giving Meg diet coke as the aspartame really doesn't seem to suit her at all so I had an experiment with this and so far so good. It is in rapeseed oil and flavouring but doesn't specify which chemicals the flavouring is but to be honest you use so little it really should be ok. We have invested in a soda stream maker and this has been worth its weight in gold over the summer for giving Meg a bit of fizz, I will post our lemonade recipe separately but I made her some cola with the fizzy water, a teaspoon of glucose powder and half a teaspoon of this cola flavour. You do have to keep stirring it with the straw as it doesn't dissolve well being in an oil base but that adds to the fun as she keeps bubbling it up with blowing through the straw, but best of all she is having Coke like everyone else. Might try experimenting making ice cream with it next.

Of course I am an adult ...but my "soda-of-choice" is still Sparkling Water with 1/2 of a lemon or lime added. This seems to satisfy my desire for a soda.

Mine too Assuming a cold beer is not avalible! Warning been reading up in beers lately. American beers have hfcs added after breewing is stopped and the beer has been pasturised. So American beers are a definate NO-NO! for HFI people. German beers brewed to the German purity standard are fine however and have the added advantage of no hangovers!! Enjoy! PS Brittish beers are mostly fine too in moderation although hangovers will happen for some unknown reason if u drink too much of them, I am trying to find out why.
