Hi Guys,
Question for diagnosed HFI's only - Is Rice Wine Vinegar safe? My whole life i've shyed away from it and I ended up in hospital after i accidently had some balsamic vinegar leak on to my plate at a restaurant so you can understand my reservations in trying even the smallest bit of rice wine vinegar. I've been cooking up some asian greens and want to get a bit of flavour into it if possible.
Love to hear your opinions.
Thanks Sheree

I can only tolerate certain red wine vinegars and white vinegar. Balsamic and Rice Wine I tend to avoid. Every now and again (when I'm at a restaurant and have fish & chips (or just fries), I tend to use the apple cider vinegar on the table, but I don't cook with it.

I'm not certain .. it feels "sticky" to me.
I have some in stock to use in cooking but I rarely use any at all.
I use malt vinegar if I need to use any, malt vinegar should be made from malted Barley with is just glucose molecules (maltose) really and very low in fructose to start with so should be safe'ish but has the wrong taste for many foods.
Try using a good safe Soy Sauce instead?
