OK a HFI abroad..
How will I do in a country where the locals rarely speak English and I speak no Czech and the written language is very different from English so food menus are a great problem.
Well been here two days and can report all good so far!
Was originally only coming over for a couple of days but then found a hotel which is also a brewery!! So thought.. errm they brew 30 types of beer and have a ´still´ making something called "Beer Spirit´... I had better stay for a week
So far I can say all the beers are good and in moderate to large quantities HFI safe.. the Smoked beer I had last night was interesting.. as was the Beer Spirit.. very smooth even at 50% vol alcohol content.. I slept well shall we say..
I only have one problem the internet in the hotel is very iffy and I cannot log in on my laptop yet. So not able to post pictures of the food as yet.
Not had any problems yet above a grumbily tum, (and that might be all the smoked beer from last night) even though I am not keeping as ´pure´ as at home.
I can recomend this country to any HFI as Very safe! All the bread is fine even the dark brown rye bread (Which is too sweet in the UK for me to eat).
Their potatoes all seem safe also I cannot report having had any that tasted in the slightest bit sweet, so far.
I had a meal in a local cafe yesterday and had "beer pickled cheese" on fried bread (picture to follow) followed by pork cuttlets, fried eggs and rice.. with yes you guessed it some more Beer
Breakfast this morning was a sliced soft cheese, a large basket of bread rolls and sliced rye bread and a plate of scrambeled eggs. I was so stuffed I could not finish the cheese!
So much more to report, along with the 12" of snow that has fallen since I arrived on Friday Morning as I type it looks like its getting ready to add to that total.
So I might get to stay a little longer yet in the brewery I wonder if the snow could close the airport for a month?
I appologise for any spelling mitakes I am using a borrowed computer which has no english spell checker on it.
Keep smiling life is good! ;D
