Just wondering if anyone knows of any brands that are safe for cough/sinus symptoms? I found one that I thought was ok but fructose is a sneaky devil hiding in all kinds of ingredients. It helped my cough symptoms but gave me a lovely fructose reaction Thanks!

Regina uses Diabetic Tussin for a cough syrup. I get it at CVS. For the inactive ingredients it has: Acesulfame K, artificial flavors, aspartame, hypromellose, menthol, methylparaben, polyethylene glycol, potassium sorbate, and purified water.
She also uses CVS brand sugar free cough drops. Inactive ingredients: citric acid, eucalyptus oil, isomalt and maltitol.
For stuffy nose I get equate brand of a daytime pill at Wal-mart.
She does good on all of these.

Thanks Tammy, I tried the Diabetic Tussin and no reaction! I have always been scared of flavored medicines, but this one was fine, yeah!

We tend to question the natural flavors. If it's fruit flavored, then we stay away from them But artificial flavors have never been a problem for her - other than she doesn't always like the taste.
Glad it helped for you.

I thought isomalt and maltitol were on the NO list?
Certianly I react to IsoMalt anyway.
