After much prompting about dangerous articles which not only got HFI and FM both mixed up as conditions but also gave dangerous advice particularly for HFI people, Livestrong have finally got their act together! www.livestrong.com/article/287972-hereditary-fructose-intolerance-symptoms/That is authoritative, properly researched and provides some good informed links too. Nice one Livestrong you got there in the end Now to post a comment pointing people to this forum

Sorry spoke too soon I just found this title "Is It Possible to Have Hereditary Fructose Malabsorption as an Adult?" on Livestrong site. No wonder people get both conditions mixed up when supposedly knowledgeable people write articles this misleading!

"Hereditary Fructose Malabsorption" This is the reason why Fred preferred the term Fructose Poisoning for HFI. DFI & HFI I can understand confusing. HFI and FM really only share one word in common. Perhaps we should press for them to use the HFI article writer to update the other FM/DFI/HFI articles.
