Hi all I've just been told that I have liver cysts, apparently fairly common in men or senior citizens! Found on a CT scan for another problem. They don't seem to cause any problem, and all that I've read up seems to imply that there's no health implication. I'm afraid my nursing training goes out the window when it comes to my own health! I wondered if it's any more likely with HFI. Any ideas?

It could be as a result of liver damage done while as a child.. before your diet was fructose free. I know this can cause scaring but are cysts different? There are also loads of minor parasites which can cause cyst like structures.. one we can get from cats causes them in the brain! but in most cases without any noticeable side effects.. effectssss efff...

Thanks Bill I must get back to speak to GP sometime. I had an x ray in teens that should've looked at liver but there was no mention of anything then. I hope it's not toxocara! I've always been meticulous with hand washing around pets, but you never know! I hate the thought of parasites!
