Hi all, Do you have issues with eggs? Apparently, there is 50 mg of fructose in one egg yolk! I can have one yolk once in a blue moon, but more than that makes me sick. Thanks for sharing!

Hi, yes this issue has been raised before with surprise.
Meg can have eggs occasionally but always seem to end up sick if she has a very egg orientated dish.

Lots of people have a problem dealing with eggs not just HFI'ers.
I do not know if its the egg white or the yoke that causes problems .. I do know there is a fancy sports diet which involves having an omelet made out of egg whites for breakfast! and about 3 spinach leaves I think!
I think eggs are one of those things that you get used to eating as a baby or not as the case may be.
I have not eaten a lot of eggs in a long time.. (maybe 2 a week recently) but by chance I had 4 eggs in a 24 hour period.. then next day the sulphur compounds in the eggs really came into play! (the sulphur compounds create the bad egg smell!)
IT took me some moments of wondering if I had eaten something several days too dead before I worked it out!.. :~
So only 2 eggs a week from now on I think!

I've had issues with eggs. I can generally tolerate one at a meal. Two is definitely an issue. I made a custard pie once and kept feeling nauseated after the smallest slice. All my ingredients were safe (or so I thought). I can only pin the reaction to the eggs.
They seem to be more tolerated when part of a larger meal (if your waffle recipe calls for eggs, you should be okay). I still get queasy if I eat french toast.
Bill, I fear for your family members.

Luckily I do not have an issue with eggs. Much like other people here hard boiled eggs are a standby for me for some protein. I eat about a dozen eggs a week cooked a variety of ways.
