Hello, since going low fructose my daughter and I stopped having our yearly colds/flu... however, as soon as my daughter ingests some fruit a couple of days in a row her nose gets stuffy right away. Just wondering if this is a common reaction with HFI. Thanks!

Meg is showing a very clear pattern for reaction now.
If she has alot of fructose she gets headache and earache, then will be violently sick for hours. Then the next day she develops a heavy cold and sores under her nose and above her upper lip. Oh and major flatulence.
If she has less fructose but enough to give more that gut rot she always starts a heavy cold and gets the sores but isn't sick, even though she feels sick.

I usually have a "runny nose" most of the time.. however have you seen the size of it!?? little wonder then,.. However I rarely get a cold that lasts more than one or two days .. and being a taxi driver I am in contact with people all the time who are sneezing on me or at least in the taxi... If I feel a cold coming on I double the dose of slow release vitamin C and Zinc.. and my nose drys up and the cold disappears like magic.. OK it my be psychosomatic but do I care.. no I don't get colds or flu.. so I'm happy.. Not lost a days work in 5 years through having a cold or flu like problem.

I only seem to get allergies in the springtime. Other than that, I'm cold-free. Right now I'm still getting sniffles off an on due to pollen. If I took my allergy meds, I'd be fine but I don't like to rely on medication.
