This is one of my favorite go-to meals when I'm hungry and want something delicious, nourishing, and FAST! These dumplings cook even faster than waiting for storebought pasta to get boiled through! Pork & DumplingsSave time - get a pot of water started boiling to cook the dumplings! Ingredients are per person, so adjust as needed! Dumplings1/4 c flour 1 egg Mix well, set aside while making the sauce and waiting for the water to boil. Cream Sauce1 T butter 1 T flour 1/4 c cream or milk 1 T grated cheese (parmesan is great!) 1/4 lb cooked pork (or cooked leftover meat of your choice!) salt to taste Melt butter in a pan, add the flour to make a roux. Add the cream or milk and mix well over med-low until thickened as desired. Add grated cheese and the cooked pork just to heat through. Once the pot of water is rapidly boiling, drop the dumplings by small spoonfuls. They will cook really fast, in just a minute or two. Drain, and serve in a bowl with the sauce poured over. MMM!!
