I know there was a discussion about this somewhere but I cannot seem to find it. I found sugar free popsicles at my grocery store popsicle brand made with aspertame and maltodextrin. Has anyone tried these with success? The ingriedients list natural flavorings, but zero grams of sugar. The package states that maltodextrin adds a trivial amount of sugar.

Hi Jennifer If the natural flavoring is fruit flavor, then I tend to avoid it for my daughter. I just couldn't be sure. If it's some other taste, then she is fine with it.
For Popsicles, I freeze SF pudding onto a stick. Since Regina's favorite flavor is chocolate it's like eating a pudding fudgesicle. She loves these in the summer.
You could also try freezing any SF kool-aid or crystal light type things that she may like, too. If you wrap it in a bag and freeze that way it's similar to a freezepop.

I just use a box, add milk, and shake. ;D Probably any sugar free pudding would work. I think there is a recipe posted on here for one. If not, I'll look around, I think I have an old recipe somewhere.

I shy away from anything like this ready made in England as all seem to have some ingredient that isn't safe or boast they are made with real fruit juice so are out.....
My solution is to buy either freezer bags you can make long ice cubes in and fill them with lightly coloured water (using safe food colouring) or milk. I also have a lolly kit and fill them with milk and freeze and she has milk lollies. I'm going to experiment with homemade custard ones too.
but these go down an absolute treat for Megs and are safe.

I recon peppermint tea made nice and strong and then frozen would be nice and refreshing, particularly on a hot day.!
