Regina has these big, brown beautiful eyes. They just don't work the way they are supposed to.
How is everyone elses eyesight? Regina's is poor. I'm actually thinking about getting her lasik surgery. I'm just not sure. I really want to, but nothing ever seems to work the same for her as it's supposed to.
Before the diet, her contacts were -8.00, which is extremely near sighted. Since that time, they have actually improved to -6.00, where they have remained for years now. Diabetes will affect the eyes, so does this sugar also? That is the question that they always ask me. Like I have all the answers they are supposed to tell me.
Her disks are flat and pale. Now this they always tell me, and it really doesn't mean anything to me. Because of this, When she was about 8 or 10, they told me she has retinitis pigmentosa. If she did have it, she would have been completely blind by age 12. Now they just shrug their shoulders and say, "Well I guess she doesn't have it. They are just that way. Is this from her other problems?" Again......like I know.
So any other contact/glasses wearers out there? Regina wears contacts. She's really good at taking them out. Just rubs her eyes when they bother her, and then yelling for me because it came out and she can't see.
We have an apt in 2 weeks to check into the surgery. So now I can pretty much expect to walk around like a zombie because I won't sleep until I make a decision. Zombie-land here I come!
