Hello, I have noticed that whenever I take vitamin C (tried different brands, 500 to 1000 mg) I feel really weird and my blood glucose meter goes over 200 and a few minutes later I get very severe hypo symptoms with blood glucose readings anywhere between 40-75. I read that some meters might not function properly and give falsely high readings after vitamin C, but the reason I started testing again is because vitamin C made me feel weird. I know I need vitamin C, but I am afraid to keep taking it if it's doing this to my blood glucose. Anyone has any ideas what is going on here? Please help! Thanks!

Do you take it on an empty stomach or with food?

Try a slow release variety that might help.
I take a slow release version and have no problems.
I have similar problems if I take Iron containing vitamins.
Have you had problems with your gums? That is the first sign of lower than normal Vitamin C.
