I would really appreciate some input on what works for you in case of a too much sudden fructose overload and following hypoglycemia (especially for children who happen to sneak in some sweets, who are otherwise on the strict no-fructose diet.) Thank you so much!!

many people on this forum have reported using dairy to counteract the hypoglycemia and other effects of accidental fructose ingestion. I do not personally do well with dairy, so this is not an option for me.
However, it can still take time for my body to turn around and I may not feel too good for the entire day. I can also be insatiably hungry. No matter how much I eat, I will want more in a short time.

I don't know if this will help. I notice I have learned to keep "okay" (no sugars) pretzels or saltine crackers in my car or in my purse as back up.

As a child I would eat white bread and butter and drink milk.
I remember frequently going Hypoglycaemic because I was thirsty.. or so it seemed..
I would suddenly go very "floppy" loose coherence and stumble a lot..
A drink of water and some food would bring me back to normal pretty fast.
On reflection I am not sure which caused which.. I know if I did any exercise like going on a 15 mile hill walk, food alone was no good I had to have a litre or so of fluid as well.

Drinking milk works great for me! That is my first go-to after accidental fructose ingestion.
For hypoglycemia, homemade white bread with butter too, as Bill said. Or homemade croissants (which is basically white bread and butter too). MMM!!
