Yes, I agree, Tammy!! I have read similar horror stories! It is absolutely outrageous. If I had kids I would seriously consider homeschooling because of all the "treats", "snacks", "parties" and these ridiculous lunch inspections. It presents a constant and very serious problem for people with food allergies and intolerances.

That's just ridiculous, sounds like the kids lunch was plenty healthy enough. Definately better than chicken nuggets, have they seen what goes into those things? ?!!!!!!! We had problems with Megs school, it was fine in her first year then they decided to apply for a healthy schools badge so the ruling was only fruit was allowed at break time...... They did concede and allow a sandwich for Megan but that was all. So if I ran out of bread and sent her in with a packet of crisps (chips to those over the pond) she had to sit in the classroom and eat them, needless to say she wouldn't so she went without a morning snack so by lunchtime of course her blood sugar was zero.
