Belated Happy Halloween

Just wanted to wish all y'all a belated Happy Halloween and hope you got plenty of Sweetarts!

(We had more trick-or-treaters than I expected and I had to stash the last 2 packets for myself; they didn't seem to mind the pretzel packs that I handed out after that and I have some of those left too!)

Thats the good thing about living in the middle of nowhere, they don't get out to us!!!! We used to live more in a village and we used to plan ahead so they gave Megs a page of stickers, a pen or some crisps, her bag lasted alot longer that anyone elses!!!!

Now, we just have next door round and have a halloween tea.

I must admit I don't agree anyway with trick or treating, we never used to do it when I was a kid (in the olden days as Meg would say!!) it has come over the pond from you lot!!!! Could someone explain the logic to me - we spend all year telling our kids not to talk to strangers, knock on doors or take things from people they don't know, then once a year we dress them up in scary clothes and tell them it is ok to do just that!!!?
