I think it should be fine for HFI I cannot pass comment on DFI or FM. I have no problem with cornmeal and this is a finer ground form of cornmeal. It is high in Fibre which we have to assume is mostly digestible fibre.. so some intestinal discomfort is possible as the Fibre is broken down into Sucrose. I doubt anyone but the most sensitive person with HFI would have a problem with this in small to medium quantities.. Due to its high Fibre content, I would not recommend it for everyday eating however . Enjoy

Ukbill, I didn't realize that fiber is broken down into sucrose! That would explain why high fiber foods make me feel awful!
Thank you for this information!

Glad to be of help.. this is why I keep banging on about adding NON-digestible plant fibre to our diets.. its safe and helps out with the constipation and almost completely removes all the bowel bloating problems.
The stuff I take every day (and really miss it when I forget or run out) is Psyllium Husk.
It really is a life changing item.

hi ukbill,
do i understand you correctly:
soluble fiber breaks down into sucrose?! wow, that is really fascinating. do you have a reference for this by chance?
insoluble fiber, like psyllium husks, obviously does not break down into anything and it therefore not a problem.

I was told this fisrtly by my Doctor when I was having IBS problems. She put me on psyllium husks precisely because they don't break down I have since found references to this process in other literature.. I will post where when I have time to go look again
