Oh boy,
how to wreck a party mood.
Just back from a "conference" for a new business venture. I've been looking for some time for a business I can work around Megs and do from home. I'm not sure it will work for me and I think by the end of the evening they were convinced I was a complete nutter (well, not wrong there )
Firstly I couldn't remember the name of the person that recommended the business to me as it was a complete stranger who must have accessed my details from a general enquiry form I had completed about home businesses, and she rang me while I was in the middle of a clinic.
Then, oh boy how to kill a mood.... the business is Forever and is based on Aloe vera products which have great healing claims. I have certainly come across aloe vera myself and it is good but I taught them a quick lesson in being careful what claims you make. Basically they were bouncing around excitedly about how fantastic the product it, how diverse and so safe anyone from cradle to grave can use it. Their main product is a drink and I looked at the ingredients, as it is supposed to be very good for bowel problems and is WONDERFUL they claim beaming from ear to ear. "Oh, thats a shame," announces I, "my daughter can't have it, one has sorbitol in it, the child friendly one has apple, cranberry, sorbitol and fructose. The anti-inflam one had sorbitol and fructose!!!!!!! " The toothpaste had sorbitol in it too.
"Oh, Oh, dear, well have a chat with the person who recommended you, when you find out who it was". they says, trying to carry on smiling. Good luck - in other words "Bugger off"
