Get this!! I'm shopping at HyVee. I looked in the spice aisle and there it is!! There's only 1 bottle on the whole shelf and there was no tag or anything on the shelf!! It was like it was just there waiting for me!! Next question..can I make up a batch of it and keep it in the fridge or should I only make 1 serving at a time? I'm so excited I think I'll try pancakes tomorrow!!!

Gretchen,
What brand is it? My son is happy with watered down glucose syrup and rhurbarb jam on pancakes/waffles but, it would be nice to make him some syrup that is more true to taste.

It's Cresent brand and in a blue box. It actually says Mapleine on the front. We're going to try it this am. I'll let you know.

I made a batch this am using the recipie on the box. I substututed Dextrose for the sugar and he loved it. It was pretty waterery, but I tried it and it tasted pretty good. He ate 2 waffles with it on!!! I put the rest in the fridge and we'll see how it holds up. I figure I'll have to warm it up to get it liquidy again, but it was a hit!!!

I found it to. We tried to and he loved it. It is very close to the real syrup.
I also made the red lobster biscuts and they were a big hit at our house.

How big a bottle is it? How much does it actually make? I'm about ready to go order 7 bottles, just to hit the minimum. I'm guessing this will last me forever. Kristen, did you say your bottle was old? Does that mean it'll keep forever like other spices?

It's a 2oz bottle, but only takes 1/2tsp to make a pretty big batch. 7 bottles would last forever!!! I'm not sure how long it lasts, but if you want I could check the store. I'm actually running there either today or Tues. and try and find another bottle. It's small so it would be nothing to ship. Let me know.

I do have a paypal account. I'm have to work today, but am going a little early to stop at Super Walmart(the carry a great Wonder sour dough bread that's ok, super soft!!) so I'll check there.
