Anyone find an approved fish stick or have a recipe? We are having a pirate birthday party and Zander would love some fish sticks (one of those items he misses and I have not found a replacement). Thanks

I have not been able to find frozen fish sticks so I have been making my own and actually they are way better.
I make a 75% mayo & 25% mustard sauce, coat the fish in that and dip into Nabisco Cracker Meal. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes. I use halibut but you could use any fish you like.

Finding Fish sticks are a hit and miss for me. But they are out there. I can find more battered "patties" than I can the sticks. I can't tell you a name as it is something that always changes.
I batter shimp, chicken or fish by dipping them in beaten eggs, then in Bisquick. Chill for a bit, and then either deep fry or bake them. Of course baking is probably healthier, but deep frying has the best taste.

Thanks! I plan to try making some in the next week. I have used bisquick with chicken but, never thought about fish.

For anyone else who is looking for fish sticks Schwans (they deliver to your house) has Haddock Breaded squares and sticks that are ok. Check with your distributor. The online ingred for the sticks said sugar but, when I checked the box they were ok.
thanks Gretchen for pointing me to these.
