McDonalds adds apples to happy meals

This was the big nutrition news yesterday. Customers will be able to substitute a second serving of apples for the fries in the new Happy Meals, but no option to skip the apples and get fries instead.

I know I shouldn't be eating McDonalds Happy Meals anyway, but sometimes I get the chicken nuggets meal (and skip the sweet sauces) if I want something light and fairly cheap. I give the toys away.

Wow, this is lame. Smaller fries and a serving of apples. I wonder if the Big Kids Meal stays the same or is suffering similar healthy-adjustments.

Sometimes I get the adult mcnugget meal, but it's just too much food. Worst comes to worst, I guess we just have to say "small fry and 6 piece mcnugget" and don't get the awesome toys.
