Cannelloni with spinach and minced meat 3 tablespoons olive oil 300 grams minced beef 2 cloves minced garlic 750 grams chopped spinach (frozen) 1 pack fresh lasagne sheets (250 grams) 175 grams of powdered cheese 2 tsp dried oregano 125 ml cream baking dish (20x30 cm)
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry the mince in 8 mins loose. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, heat the remaining oil in another pan and fry the garlic 1 minute. Add the spinach and cook on low heat for defrosting. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Drain well in a filter. Mix the spinach with minced meat. Cut the lasagne sheets in half width. Spread a little minced meat spinach mixture on each sheet and roll. Place the rolls in the baking dish. Pour the cream over and sprinkle with the cheese and oregano. With aluminum foil. Bake the cannelloni 20 minutes in the middle of the oven. Remove the foil and bake another 10 minutes until golden brown cannelloni.
I've let out the garlic for Nienke to be safe. But she didn't want to eat this dish. Did I see something that would give that reaction to her or was she that day just not that hungry or wasn't it her taste? My other daughter and I (not HFI) thought it was a tastefull dish.

Just spotted your recipe marleen as I was about to post a lasagne recipe. Maybe it wasn't to her taste unless the oregano was too strong. Or was it too dry. I made a similar thing for megs which was a basic single layer lasagne.
I made a cheese sauce, fried mince and lasagne sheets. I used a deep bread tin and put a thin layer of cheese sauce first, then a layer of lasagne sheet. On top of that I put the cooked mince (fried then boiled in plain water with a pinch of salt and tsp of mixed herbs). Then a layer of cheese sauce, layer of lasagne sheet and topped with rest of cheese sauce. Bake in oven at 200degrees for 30 mins.
Megs found this delicious and I must say I quite liked it too and I'm used to tomato based lasagnes. Its a bit stodgy cold but lovely hot.
