This is the only chicken that I buy. Most of their products say, "contains less than 1 percent retained water". So, there's no plumping solution and should be 100% for us HFIers. Tyson, on the other hand, has up to a "12% broth solution".

Oh! Good to know! Sadly, I don't have Perdue at any of my local groceries. I think I've found a broth-free turkey (some random Amish brand) that I've switched to, but no chicken.

Hi! I think the amish is the way to go. Probably a certified organic one is a good choice too. I would be as concerned about the antibiotics and hormones that are found in factory raised chickens (including purdue) as I would about the fructose. I think much better off with a local farmer or amish or organic variety. As far as I know only factory farms plump their chickens with water and do other sneaky tricks
