GOODNESS! Well, at the very least, I'm glad you're back and better, Sherri. We were worried about you and have been waiting to hear from you. My brother (who has HFI) has an irregular heart beat (too fast) which his employer (National Guard) has become concerned about and makes him wear a heart monitor at all times.
I avoid soy in certain instances. If a product has whole soybeans in it (like you can see the bean), then I eat it. If it's made from soy, like soy milk/soy coffee, then I avoid it. I got really sick from soy coffee and (before my diagnosis) from soy creamer. I haven't tried soybean oil (that I know of), but you can always check the nutritional database online if you're iffy about anything. They usually give a sugar-breakdown so you can see if it has bad sugars. The link to the database is in the links section of this forum.

Sherri,
I hope you have a very speedy recovery. That must have been a very scary ordeal for you!
We stay away from all soy products here except for occasional soybean oil if it is in an otherwise safe product. We stay away both due to gastro upset and the fact that soy interferes with our thyroid replacement meds.
Take care! Sandra

Hey Sherri, glad you are on the mend, very scary time. You don't think you had an odd virus do you? they can sometimes affect this way. Megs had very low blood pressure all the time she was in hospital (which is the only time they have taken it,) averaged 85/45. Not sure if related to her funny turns as never taken it when she is having one.
