I'm not sure what some of those things are. I've never heard of chicory coffee, radicchio, or black peppers. I've never tried yellow wax beans and I'm not sure if I've tried buckwheat. Some of the things are okay in moderation or if consumed the proper way, like broccoli, tooth paste with sorbitol, and lemons.

RADICCHIO is something like reddish lettuce: PEPPER: green, BLACK, red and white: DANDELION GREENS, raw - great salad of specific bitter taste: From BUCKWHEAT you can make a meal, like cornmeal or polenta: CRANBERRIES are like bluberries, they have 1,2g fructose/100g, recommended fruit in DFI: CHICORY coffee substitute is non-true coffee made from chicory root.

ahahahahaa, now I feel like a dork. Of course I use almost all seasonings. Pepper is one of my staples.
I still have never seen RADICCHIO before in my life. That stuff is TRIPPY.
And I'm also a dork because I just had a chicory discussion with my sister-in-law. I told her I called those blue flowers alongside the road "cornflowers" ever since I was a kid, because they were the same color as the crayon "cornflower" blue and they were usually found alongside corn fields. (is a dunce)
She even mentioned that you could brew it to make a coffee substitute. I think it was too early in the morning when I answered this survey. Now that I've had my coffee, I'm thinking more clearly. Still haven't tried it, though. And I'm a little afraid to try it.
I also drink all varieties of tea. So long as there aren't obvious ingredients (the usual), then I feel pretty safe drinking it. I haven't had any problems so long as it's not fruit-based.

You haven't missed much with radicchio. Bitter. My less favorite salad. I know only for black peppers. We put whole peppers in salamies and in vegetable soups.
Well, this what we've discussed so far is obviously not something to try.

OK a lot here that I have to add. I have voted in a very strict way. I can eat many of these items but in only a small / medium quantities. I will copy the list and apply my comments by each item. peanuts - defiantly NO I like them they don't like me!any other nut (specify in the thread) - I can and do eat small quantities of Hazel nuts walnuts, almonds, pistachio and in very small amounts cashew nuts. I avoid Brazil nuts Macadam etcxylitol, maltitol, mannitol - I avoid thesestevia - ?? not come across it in the UKaspartame - AVOID!maltose - I do not like the taste but if its used in small quantities in foods I have no adverse reaction to it.white potatoes - Only 2 varieties King Edward and Maris Piper but these are not always "pure" genotypes so I can get caught out "Flour" Type Potatoes are much better then "Waxy"
corn products (degermed) - if you are talking about Sweet Corn OR Corn on the Cob type corn then I avoid all forms except Corn Flour (starch) and I can these days tolerate a small quantity of Popped Corn with Butter or plain.wheat - no Problembarley - No Problemrye - I eat Rye Bread in small amounts I like it but do not "feel the benefit" of eating it and most taste slightly sweet.broccoli - I eat only small amounts and only the green flower buds I cannot eat the stalks as they are far too sweet for me and always give a reaction. Less of a reaction if eaten raw or crunchy as in a stir fry.buckwheat - Buckwheat Flour is good and no reaction, whole Buckwheat is less so I like it but have to limit the quantities I eat.green beans - VERY small amountsblack beans - VERY small amounts[/b yellow wax beans -VERY small amounts[/b green peas - NO chick peas - Yes but get digestion problems if I eat toomuch or too frequently cranberries - No lemons - Some Lemons can be sweet as well as sour plain yogurt - No Problem Including Greek style tea (specify in the thread) - all varieties of pure teas are fine. fruit teas less so and some are not edible because of their sickly sweet smell! vinegar (specify in the thread) - Malt Vinegar (made from Barley) Spirit vinegar and Rice vinegar is fine, less so Wine vinegars and avoid Balsamic and Cider vinegar (apples) cinnamon - I had a problem with this in powdered form (perhaps they add sugar to make cinnamon powder?) but cinnamon bark I have had no problem with. green peppers - If you are talking about the spice then no problem black peppers - no problem curry - no problem dandelion greens - Never tried them dandelion sap (I have been told) is poisonous so not tried to eat them on that basis garlic - Oil is fine whole Garlic Cloves cause me digestion problems (not too bad) radicchio - YES not a problem Livens up a green salad nicely, however I cannot eat too much salad without digestion problems, shallots (green/spring onions) - I LOVE them Raw! and use a little in cooking but they can and do cause digestion problems if eaten regularly or in too high quantities. If cooking Shallots then genitally fry until well browned (not burnt) is essential as if they are softened (like normal onion) they are lethal to my gut. Advantages all the taste of a LARGE standard onion in a very small size I do not cook spring Onions only eat them raw. rhubarb - No Problem but be aware it is known as a laxative for "Normal" people too! so no more than one large bowl full a day! chicory coffe substitute - Nasty stuff never developed a taste for it, I can drink Coffee so why put up with it? any dry distilled beverage? - Single Malt Whisky is fine and some Blends (made with Barley alcohol and Alcohol made from sweet corn. Adulterated Whisky (like Southern Comfort) is a BIG NO! as are Brandy, Vodka Gin and all the rest. However I think this is due to adulteration as GIN and most Vodka is made from Barley so should be ok..?l using toothpaste with fructose/sorbitol - I read the label In the UK never seen Fructose as an ingredient. Been as it would feed the bacteria that are trying to dissolve your teeth it would seem self defeating to put it in! Some tooth Pastes are very sweet tasting so I avoid buying those.
I hope this helps?
Keep smiling..

PS Chicory Coffee or a mix of Coffee and Chicory (which is a type of very bitter tasting lettuce by the way) is VERY common in France. They (the French people) seem to prefer the bitter taste it gives. I cannot eat Chicory as it is almost all White stalks (it is grown in the Dark) It tastes very bitter and also sweet to me and gives me an adverse reaction too.

A couple of comments. I avoid most sweeteners, so I'm not sure if I would have a reaction, for example to aspartame. Mannitol seems ok in medium amounts, but I have felt weird a couple of times when mannitol has been involved.
As for broccoli I don't have any reaction but eat very small amounts of it - if at all. Potatoes are fine, but I'm not fond of them and don't eat as much as other people do. Lemons are no problem and I like eating them as they are. Tea - I drink an obscenely amount of tea. Black tea flavoured with berries are my favorites. Yes, that works for me. Either most of the flavor are from synthesized flavors, or there's so little actual berry in a mug of tea that it doesn't matter.
As for toothpaste, I've never had a reaction regardless of content (since you're supposed to spit it out, I wonder how low the threshold is if you do react to it) but for the last four years I've been trying to chose brands with less sweeteners in them.

I drink a lot of tea without trouble. I generally stick to black teas like the basic Lipton or Earl Grey.
I typically stick to white vinegar.
I "eat" chewing gum that has xylitol in it, and this doesn't give me trouble. Not sure about the other two.
I've never had a problem with toothpaste - I generally avoid the sweet flavors just since I don't like the taste, but I don't seem to swallow much if any of it.

Just read these comments - one thing to bear in mind - there are varying degrees of HFI depending on the mutation of the gene. I have worse case, which is why I only ticked 5 boxes. I avoid all fruits including lemmons and would only eat a very small ammount of broccoli - one florret. I am Interested in the alcohol products mentioned as this could liven up an evening out -water is sooo boring! I usually take my own food to parties as well.
