Fibre?

I am just wondering how other HFIers get the required fibre intake? I have always had issues not being able to eat any type of fruit and not many vegetables.
I eat Shredded Wheat for breakfast most mornings but always have to take Metamucil or some type of supplement.
Any tips? Comments?

yep me too for the Shredded Wheat to which I add 2 tablespoons of Porridge Oats and 1 to 2 teaspoons of a (largely) non-digestible Plant Fibre called "Psyllium Husk" and a pot of Natural Probiotic Yogurt. I found this in Australia and it has been a life saver.. OK not that good but close!
It is sold in a 750g bag which lasts about 5 months.
In Australia it is packed by a company called NU-VIT 13 Timms Road, Everton Hills, QLD 4053 Australia
After 48 years of uninhibited FHI attack on my gut, it is in pretty poor state. I need the additional non-digestible plant fibre. I was using an unflavoured variety from the Doctors called ISO-Gell but this has not been available now for 2 years and I was getting desperate to find an alternative.
I also take one or two, depending on need, of Colofac MR (active ingredient Mebeverine Hydrochloride) which is absolutely magic at stopping the cramps and abdominal pains.

Before I became a mother, I didn't think much of my diet, and had a very low intake of fiber.
These days, I tend to eat a little bit healthier and one of the results is that I make my own bread. I don't like bread with a lot of rye in it, so I mainly use white flour, with maybe 1/5 rye. I also mix in a generous helping of sunflower seeds and flax-seeds. I also put flax-seeds on my occasional portion of yogurt and oatmeal porridge. It seems to be enough for me.
