Ukbill,
I had such a chuckle over your “first few times using psyllium” experience. Oh wow... 😳🧐😜😂

ukbill,
I often make bone soup after having turkey. After removing all the leftover meat, I’ll make the bone broth (soup).
Because the turkey first roasts in the oven, the bones give an even richer broth. Once the broth is made, strained, cooled and fat removed, I divide it into individual sized containers. I keep a few as broth, others I add back in the diced turkey and maybe noodles ..and then freeze.
You can absolutely put an uncooked whole chicken into a pot of water and make soup. It’s delicious. But for those unfamiliar with making soup or bone broth, I recommend removing the soup’s meat when sufficiently cooked as if you leave in longer, it will end up making the meat tasteless. And, if you have time, continue simmering the bones for over 12 hrs., as it’s only after this amount of time that bones really start releasing nutrients. The longer they simmer, the more nutrients they release and flavour the broth will have.
For those interested, a quick google search will show lots of info and methods for making soup or bone broth. 😊
