I wasn't aware that the lego candy, the real name is "candy blox" I think, was made in the USA. All I can tell you is that Palmera has done fine with it, and that from a label perspective it reads more safe to me than Smarties because there aren't any natural flavors or colors. But Palmera is not diagnosed, so please don't use her tolerance as a guide for safety. You could contact the manufacturer and see if they'll tell you what kind of dextrose they use.
I haven't bought any Concord candy for a while, but every time I do it's difficult to find and I've purchased from different sellers each time. I don't recommend buying from Amazon. I've been sent candy in unsealed and non labeled bags before. I've been sent a different brand of candy than the listing is for. It ends up in the trash and off goes a nasty note to Amazon for which they refund my money but basically ignore it from a quality or safety standpoint. Also, if the site doesn't list ingredients contact them and ask them for them. The candies come coated or uncoated. You want the uncoated, the coated ones are not safe. I also will ask the seller how they package their candy if I'm not familiar with them because I won't use it if it's not labeled or packaged using GMPs. There are a lot of sellers out there trying to make a quick buck by reselling bulk candy, it's not always done legally. The sweet tart candy I've found under many different names, same candy different shapes: "tangy tarts", "oh baby pacifiers", are a couple I remember. The last time I bought the candy blox I found them on nuts.com. They are a reputable seller, their products are packaged and labeled responsibly.
