I haven't been entirely impressed with my son's docs. They are all very responsive, perfectly nice, and figured out my son's HFI relatively quickly, but it seems like we get a lot of incorrect info. I'll ask about these draws for his next labs, too. He takes NanoVM but we've had a harder time getting it into him lately because he's eating a lot less yogurt and milk. But I'm happy about the cut back in dairy because it sounds like he may have been eating it to mask symptoms.
Jenn: You mentioned that the slow cooker is often going in your house, can you share what you make in it? My son wasn't a fan of the things I tried, possibly because the potatoes weren't cut small enough when I soaked them.

I just cook meats, her favorite is chicken with thickened broth and dumpling. I add the dumplings last 30 minutes or so. She also like beef chuck roast, pork roast and chicken or chicken soup that I put in bowl with pasta and a little spinach. I season with just a very little or no salt and oreganonor rosemary. I cook a meat or two on Monday morning or overnight Sunday, and then use it for her meals the next two days or so. She also loves shrimp, which Costco has great deveined in a large bag in the meat section. I just peel a dozen or so and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or so. It is my go to meal when I am unprepared and tight on time. Potatoes are tricky - I found that even soaked potatoes that I cooked in slow cooker were too sweet for my daughter. I just make those on stove. I found that this board and other moms or adults with HFI have been most helpful with the practical everyday living stuff. Most doctors never run into this or if they do it is a once in a blue moon situation. It has some pretty unique symptoms/restrictions with many of the going against traditional healthy living thinking/ training. Very fortunate that your doc tested your child so early.
