The difference between eating a tiny amount of Fructose in say a spice, herb of onion, which adds flavour to a meal or eating Glucose is very different.
Firstly if there is too much Fructose or Sucrose in the meal it should be detectable by the HFI'r eating the meal..
No so if eating Glucose where massive doses of Fructose can be consumed without any immediate noticeable effects (because the blood is suffused with massive doses of Glucose which it is trying to clamp down on to maintain a good blood sugar level.
Also small doses of Fructose / Sucrose will be present anyway due to the manufacturing process.
In the case of Glucose made form Sweet Corn (Maize) will be approximately 4% Sucrose / Fructose.
So a 50g serving (which is smaller than in a "glucose only" sports drink) is likely to contain a minimum of 2g or more of Sucrose / Fructose
Which is a bit different to 0.0018g I will receive from a clove of garlic in my main meal of the day.
