Regina has bad eyesight. Has been bad all her life. But every year we go to the eye doctor, it is just a tad better. Her glasses get weaker. Her first original pair was a -10 (the farther away from 0 the worse). We are now down to -5.50. Still bad but much better from what they were.
She also has bad retina's. When she was 8 they told me she could possibly be blind by the age of 12. The retina's are not any better, but they are not any worse, either. They have stayed the same.
Interesting.

I have horrid vision (-7~), but my brother (who also has undiagnosed HFI) has perfect vision. He does not follow the HFI diet at all (as much as I lecture him).

Oh horrible reaction to something....I feel awful this morning. I think it was either: my DH made some bread for me but proofed the yeast on a spoonful of sugar, OR, I snacked at work on some "pita chips" which seemed safe except that they had whole grain wheat. Whatever it was, I feel totally awful today. I am going back to just meat and rice for now!

I was talking to my husband, and he mentioned that those "pita chips" that I snacked on also have some oils like safflower oil, etc., which can also be problematic. Which is true, I didn't think about that. I will definitely stay away from those! He even bought some eggs and hard-boiled them and brought them to me, so I'd have something safe to snack on. :-)
I am feeling a lot better today after just having meat and rice all day yesterday. I ventured back to white wheat flour and dairy today!
